day 11
oh where was i?? oh ya we stayed in this hotel owned by the 'greeting' family and it was in the mountains... the weather was like genting but so so much better :D when i woke up i could see the snow capped mountains! in winter time the whole area will be covered with snow and there's a ski resort nearby... i love snow!

and then we went to geneva. or genève. it was raining. very heavily. and we stopped by at this chillon castle or something. (pronounced 'shi-llon' by the way) some old castle with a french name at the banks of lake geneva.
er, the rain became a drizzle when we reached here.
was reluctant to go down because it was raining. but i went down anyway. not much to see, only a castle. or a fort. whatever.
and then we went to geneva and passed by the international labour organisation headquarters! and the united nations headquarters! and there was this huge chair with a leg missing! the tour guide said it was a protest against land mines! haha!
aye, didn't take any pictures of the places cos we were moving so fast... anyway in front of the UN there were many flags and we saw singapore's!!! :D it was at the 1st column 2nd row if im not wrong...
damn was hoping to see the FIFA headquarters but realised it's in zurich... switzerland got many international headquarters lol.
had lunch at this cantonese restaurant. and then we went to this place with the flower clock. read about it in many books and expected it to be really marvellous and grand. then i saw this clump of colourful flowers. i thought it was another clump of colourful flowers when i saw the minute and hour hands and i realised it was the flower clock. it was so easy to miss!
we had a few hours to tour genève. i was so impatient to leave for france! lol. spent our remaining swiss francs on chewing gum and sweets lol. and, finally, we're going to france! i was so excited i kept on taking pictures of signposts which had the word 'france' on it haha
and then, we crossed this bridge which led us to FRANCE!!! :D <3 FRANCE!
the speed limit on the 'autoroute' was 130km/h in dry weather and 110 in wet weather. wow. over here in singapore it's 90 for all kinds of weathers! reached dijon in the evening.
we had dinner at a hotel. it's some budget hotel with an indoor swimming pool which reeks of chlorine. but their food was nice! the waiters called me zidane cos i was wearing his jersey lol. and eurosport was showing some interview with our king henry on the tv. that time i didnt know what the hell it was and i wanted to go to the hotel real quick to watch it.
our hotel was holiday inn :D when i went into the room i immediately switched on the tv. it was a sonny anderson testimonial match. apparently this guy is retiring from football. and this match was between 'sonny anderson's friends' and lyon XI.
and you know what? anderson's team won 5-2, with him scoring a hat trick and his 9 year old son loic scoring a goal too! haha.
day 11 was mostly spent on travelling. and sleeping. yay the next day is paris!!!!!
