missing the good old days

heh was trawling through my previous 300 posts dating to the end of 06. makes me miss 2grace more and more. i read about our bold antics and our daily football games (last year, we played football everyday without fail unless it rained), and i think of now, where everyone is playing basketball and i'm stuck in a so-called best class where the students' only goal is to get 100 for every maths test. when i say we played football everyday i meant everyday.

i miss the times where we went down to the hockey pitch carrying a football and after few minutes more people joined in and we had loads of fun and we went back to class dripping wet in sweat.
i miss the good old fridays where the pitch was crowded with people and occasionally mr ng would be the ref.
i miss the times where we crouched under the tables holding our breath when we hear footsteps outside the door.
i miss the day where i ran for my life away from ctan who was bent on scolding me
i miss the day where tenna and i skipped cheong's lessons and went home early
i miss the litter-strewn floor of the 2grace classroom and the heavily-graffitied tables and greenboard
i miss the 'possibicity' skyline dominating the board at the back of the class
i miss looking at the esplanade everytime i step into class
i miss playing football everytime the teachers are not in class.
i miss the day, the glorious day where we played football until 7.30.
i miss the times when we played football everyday after cca. as i walk past the field on my way home from cca, i think of the times we spent there, and i can visualise people playing football, the shouts of joy and the screams of frustration. i can see the ball flying across the pitch into the goal post, the scorer wheeling around in celebration...

today what is left of all those memories is the pencil drawing of the esplanade still outside the now-2L classroom, the faded markings on the tables which had seen so much, the ink stained floor of the balcony, and the 'i love 2grace07' scrawled on many of 3d's tables... until now when i am asked to talk about my school and my friends, i still maintain that we are a bunch of football loving kids who play football everyday, without fail, unless it rained.
