thinking about a levels when i'm still in sec3

it's 1 week and 3 days to the exams, and i've not started on ss. let me rank my subjects according to preference.

physics
french
a/e maths
chem
english
bio
chinese
history
ss

as you can see, the humans subjects come last. i don't see the point of learning humans. what jobs, other than a historian's, require the knowledge of collectivisation, industrialisation, and the treaties of brest litovsk and versailles? and who on earth will dig up sources and compare them? definitely not pilots (i.e., me)

and only PAP wannabes will enjoy SS. serious.

i told my cousin, sometimes i wish i were taking my o's this year. like, a few more months and all the burden is gone and i can finally go flying. and i can finally say goodbye to history and SS and bio. these few days i keep day dreaming about life after A's. you got it right - A's. and i havent even cleared sec3 yet. i think about applying for the pilot's job at the air force right after i get my results. and after 25 months of training i'll apply for a pilot's scholarship to a local uni (i've given up wanting to study in france). at least, that's my plan.

mum says i might not become a pilot and i agree with her. read somewhere that not every batch of trainees become pilots. i do think of what if i don't become a pilot. be an aerospace engineer, i say, since that was what i previously wanted to be. but if i do become an engineer, i'll always be in contact with planes, and instead of flying them, i'll be repairing them and wondering what could have been.

i know it's damn early to be thinking about these kinds of things. but i can't help it.
