taking another dig at SS among other things

you might have realised that i'm blogging far more often than usual. that's cos i have nothing better to do. before you start shouting 'what about physics tomorrow and ss the day after?' i've finished physics and if you haven't noticed, i hate ss so much i simply can't wait to tear the textbook apart after the o levels.
and you might also have realised the arsenal score at the top of this post. i'm keeping track of all the arsenal games and scores. it's terrible that as an arsenal fan i dont'even know when they're playing :\
aye, these days i just slack around the house and spend most of my time on the piano. i'm currently playing grieg's piano concerto in a minor. i'm still figuring which is harder - the piano concerto or liszt's campanella. yesterday i went to the coffee bean with mum and i brought only my ss textbook - to force myself to study ss. i only made it through the first few pages on population and i gave up. it's pathetic. terribly pathetic. and the worst thing is fail or pass the marks are counted in my l1r5.
why can't 3rd lang be counted in l1r5? you can be damn fucking good at maths and science and ace all the tests with but fail a humanities subject - you get a 14 for l1r5 (and that's assuming you get a1 for english) and you get into a shit junior college. and what's the point of humanities anyway. for those aspiring to become writers and historians, this does not concern you, but what the hell, you don't need to know about shakespeare or stalin or the japanese diet to fly a plane.
and it's fucking annoying knowing that there are SOME people who fail more subjects than you but get 6 for l1r5 - because they get a1 for chinese and chinese literature, BECAUSE they come from a PARTICULAR country.
and it's worse for people like me who take 3rd lang (which isn't a humanities subject) and combined humans (SS + an elective). because if you take 2 humans (combined + another subject) they count the better score. which is just as well cos they can choose not to bother about ASSASS (which is part of combined) and focus on, say, lit or geog.
but no, not us. especially me, as i'm a staunch hater of SS. "at least you learn about your country, like medisave and CPF," said dad. Bravo Sierra. bullshit. you can learn about those stuff, but be tested on that? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. what the fuck. i can't be effing bothered to learn about medishield and medisave and medicock at least not at this age.
and you know what? almost everybody hates ss, but for those who take 2 humans they can fail ss for all they care but if they get a1 for lit/pure geog/clit(oris)/MEP - well good for them. get 6 for l1r5 and go to rj and fry their brains. while we, people who score 5 a1s for maths and science but fail combined humans, have to settle for a double digit l1r5 and a lousy jc.
