playing footy for 9 hours is good for you
yeah that's what we did... in the morning we had games carnival (we got into the semis but crashed out against faith - as expected! i'm still damn happy though) and in the afternoon it was the supposed 11-a-side. less than 11 people turned up, haha.
GAMES CARNIVAL!!!!
it's like, our last games carnival! so obviously we gave it our all. yeah, and 3D played damn well! i'm especially pleased with yuheng. she saved a grace freekick which i couldn't myself! she let in only 2 goals in 5 games, that's not bad!
at the other side of the field, i scored 3 goals in 5 games! we had 1-0 victories for the 1st 2 matches and a 3-0 thrashing of truth. peanuts compared to faith's 5-0 mauling of some unfortunate team, though. for the first 3 games i scored 1 goal each and against unity i sort of lost it. cos it was damn hot and i was dying. got tripped twice, against grace and unity. no prizes for guessing who tripped me in the unity match. haha. i sort of lost my temper and let fly some expletives. which i regretted immediately after that. despite losing to unity, we got into the semis so it's alright. against faith, i died. couldn't play anymore.
THE SO CALLED 11-A-SIDE!!!!!
we had high hopes of the teachers coming out to play in full force. but only mr ng, mr sam, mr wahib (the drink stall uncle's bro), mr seth tan, mr tan (the chinese one) and mr imran (who came much later) played. the student count was dismal, as only 4 of us turned up, 1 of whom (jingwen) left for tt training.
but who cares, this was a once-a-term thing and we weren't going to cancel the game just because no one came. as usual, we got thrashed real badly by the teachers. i scored one goal against them :D yay.
we played for 3 hours (2-5). our skins were roasted by the sun, and believe it or not, xiwen got darker/blacker! like, how much blacker can she become? as for me, i was so burnt i couldn't believe it. my sunburn was worse than i've ever had. but heck, it's all in the name of fun!
great, my mum left a note asking me to do a chinese assessment and read the chinese newspapers. oh yay...
