2008 remembered
yet another year has come and gone. somehow 2008 passed by quicker than the others. and just like any other year, 2008 has its fair share of highs and lows. i will never forget the time i stepped into the cockpit of F-WWOW and was blown away by its overwhelming complexity, nor will i forget the thrill of visiting the concordes currently residing in toulouse. a dream come true, you might say.
the lows? the memory of susie yelling at me has to be one of the worst. oh yeah, i was crushed when france was knocked out of the euros in such a humiliating fashion. but hey, june was one of the highlights of 2008, nonetheless.
july/august, when ah huat came, was also fun. but not as fun, though, as november/december, when i flew on a boeing 777-312ER to france, and spent one of the best 30 days of my life there. i learnt a lot, more than i had expected. not only in terms of knowledge i've gained, but also, i have improved as a person.
i look forward to 2009 with an unusual mix of dread and excitement. dread because it's THE year we've all been working towards, the last year in st nicks, and we have to make the most of it. i feel excited for the same reason, that we have all grown up and ready to face new challenges. excited because i am finally going to get my DSLR :)
yeah so that just sums up my year. 2009 is going to be tiring for the most part. but in the end, it'll all be worth it.
