la france, je t'aime
and thus ends my 1 month in france. i'm leaving lyon on monday morning on a TGV train. and i will be saying goodbye to this beautiful country at 11.30am on a boeing 773. i had a wonderful time here and my host family is extremely kind. it's a trip like no other and i have learnt so many things. i've been blog hopping and reading the posts of other people's holiday trips and i realised that my trip trumps theirs. not because i got to stay here for 1 month, not because i had loads of time to go sight seeing and shopping, not because they gave us 15€ for lunch and we could buy what we wanted, not because they brought us to fancy restaurants which we wouldn't go to if we were travelling alone, but because what they saw during their trip, it's only on the outside. they go to the popular tourist destinations and see what the countries present to the rest of the world. but us, we go further inside the country and understand the people and their way of life, and i think that is awesome.
i will miss france a lot a lot a lot a lot. and ah huat. and her family. and everybody in this trip. and olympique lyonnais, for whom i have a soft spot.

about me

Just a nobody who likes planes, football and classical music. A weird combination.
Has a strange liking for old/dead Russian composers and pianists, with the notable exception of A.Lubiantsev.
Supports Arsenal FC. Thinks A330s are hot.
