some random stuff
the first qantas a380 flight to singapore landed yesterday at 10.30pm. i wanted to go to the airport but my mother said no. "it's the a380 anyway, you've seen it a lot of times..." wtf but those were in SQ livery! but in any case i was damn tired so i went to bed at 10.
then when i checked the a.net forum thread on this topic just now, i found out that another QF a380 had just landed, at 8.17am, from LHR. sniff sniff! i have missed 2 QF A380 landings. too bad then, i guess, but i'll have many more chances to see/photograph it.
yesterday the goalpost got blown on top of sarah long (ouch). that's the power of the northeast monsoon. we couldn't play anyway because we were chased away by the teachers (thankfully susie wasn't there) because there was a storm brewing (what with all the grey clouds and strong winds). then we talked about playing on the roof garden, and xiwen was like 'would you want to get stuck by lightning or get struck by susie?'
'lightning,' i replied, because it is a faster way to die and you'll never know what hit you. but in the case of susie, first she'll gouge out your eyeballs and hack the back of your head with an axe while you writh on the ground screaming in agony... you get the meaning.
also happened yesterday, when i was walking back home via the home econs room, i heard the sound of the jet engine so instintively i stuck out my head to see what was happening. to my pleasant surprise, i saw a business jet a couple of hundred feet above us (i'm guessing it was a learjet but no guarantees) turning around, full flaps, and flying straight down. it was definitely on final to seletar airport. i wonder how many times a day these kinds of planes land in seletar. we get a couple of turboprops flying above our school everyday but they're way too high to identify them (but i doubt i'll be able to even if they were in front of me, i can't identify small planes like i can with widebody jets)
i almost forgot about this. manc wants to buy kaka...!!!! i'd never imagine i'd see the words 'manc', 'buy' and 'kaka' in the same sentence. but it's true! they're having talks and if the deal goes through zizou will no longer be the most expensive player in history! :( but that's not the point! the point is, why would such a brilliant player like kaka join a mid-table team like manc! manc aren't even in midtable they're somewhere near the bottom! it defies belief and logic! if milan doesn't want kaka he should be playing for a better team like arsenal or barca or real madrid or something! please, kaka, for the sanity of us football fans and football itself, DON'T go to manchester city you'll be killing yourself there!!!!!!
