you know you've been around planes too long when...
-You spell with the phoenetic alphabet
-While talking to someone and you hear a plane you ignore the conversation and look up at the plane.
- Your "ideal beach" is SXM
-Things on your computer have some reference to planes - wallpaper/screensaver
-you watch movies and as soon as a plane comes across the screen, you yell out exactly what it is.
-When you call a city by it's airport code (sometimes)
- You've ever requested to sit on a certain side of the plane to see certain landmarks or sights while in flight (example - when flying south, sitting on the right side of the plane so you can see the sunset)
- If you've ever chosen to take a connecting flight even when a non-stop was available, just to get one more takeoff and landing (we flew QR to europe because it was cheaper than SQ, but i'm not complaining cos of the extra plane rides!)
- Airplane noise is not noise to you (as an anetter so aptly put it, it's the sound of freedom)
-you go through friend's facebook photo albums from their trips, and only looking to see if they have any photos from the flights to and from.
-your ringtone is the FSX song and the message alert the 'too low terrain' warning
-in the middle of the night when you were going back to bed from the toilet you saw 4 planes in the horizon (identifiable by their flashing landing lights) and ignoring your body's desperate pleas for sleep you dashed to the window to watch
-your french family brought you the airbus factory in toulouse because they know you love planes
-your french teacher knows that you want to be a pilot even though you didn't tell him that
-one of your favourite tv show is 'air crash investigation'
-you count 'the pilot's handbook of aeronautical knowledge', 'your pilot's license' and 'the dictionary of aviation' as some of your prized possessions
-you want to print a tshirt that says 'plane spotter and proud of it'
-you can't stand it when people complain 'how boring' or 'how long' their flight was
-you'd gladly fly on the jumpseat instead of SQ's first class suite anyday (not that either is possible though)
-the thing that you want most in the whole world is to become a pilot and you'll do anything it takes to become one, even if that means giving up something you love
-you can't wait for the prelims to come so you can sign up for SYFC
-you would love to live under a flight path, preferably next to the airport
-your blog url is bravo-sierra.blogspot.com
